Wildlife

Wildlife

Animals have always been one of my favorite subjects to paint, especially birds and marine animals.  I take photos of them in their natural environments wherever I travel to use as reference for my life-like paintings.  My favorite medium for my wildlife subjects is watercolor, as I can watch my subjects come to life on my paper with each transparent layer of paint. My goal is for the viewers of my paintings to feel like they are right there with my subjects, whether on land or under the sea.

Landscapes

Landscapes

The dramatic landscapes and waterfalls of Yosemite National Park and the High Sierras are among my favorite subjects. I also enjoy painting the rivers and almond orchards that surround my neighborhood, and seascapes of the California Coast and Hawaii. My favorite medium for my studio landscapes is watercolor. I'm currently working on a collection of plain air paintings using my favorite medium for the outdoors, traditional oils.

Miniatures

Miniatures

Miniatures are a great way to start your art collection if you love original art, but have a limited budget or wall space. My miniatures are affordably priced and painted with watercolor, acrylic or traditional oils.

Whiskey Painters of America Paintings

The Whiskey Painters of America is an exclusive organization of watercolor painters. To become a member requires being sponsored by an original member, and to apply with two 3" x 5" miniature watercolor paintings that are juried by a panel of distinguished signature artist members. My application was accepted this year and I am now an official signature member of this fabulous organization. I entered their 43rd annual national show this Fall and both of my entries were accepted and one of them sold. I've created this special collection of my WPA paintings and will add more paintings to it as I finish them for upcoming WPA shows.
